Testimonials

Over the time I have had a chance to work with some amazing people.  This is what some of them have had to say about the coaching I offer and their experience with me!

I first met Chris at the Prairie Nightmare Backyard Ultra in August 2023. During that race, we chatted about different training runs, and I learned that he was a coach. Shortly after, I started following him and discovered his coaching business, Ultra Addiction. I was already considering getting a coach to enhance my training, and the timing felt right.

In April 2024, I began working with Chris after dealing with a posterior tibial tendinitis injury in my right ankle and foot. At that point, I wasn’t sure how to safely return to running, let alone compete again. Chris not only helped me rehab from the injury but also guided me through a structured training plan that prepared me for the Saskatchewan Marathon at the end of May. His expertise and personalized approach led to a new personal best—something I hadn’t thought possible just months before.

Even though my coaching is remote, Chris’s structured workouts sync effortlessly with my Garmin, and he’s always able to adjust the plan based on my data. Throughout the summer, Chris continued to coach me as I prepared for both Beaver Flat 50 and my primary race, the 100 km Iron Horse Ultra. Every run had a purpose, and under his guidance, I started to feel like a true athlete. He kept me focused and motivated while ensuring I stayed injury-free.

At the Iron Horse Ultra, Chris was an incredible support. He met me at every aid station, offering encouragement and valuable advice. I achieved a new PB beating my pervious time by over an hour. His calm demeanor and focus on helping his clients achieve their personal best are qualities I deeply appreciate in a coach. No matter the race or the goal, Chris creates an environment where you feel supported and understood.

Working with Chris has been a game-changer for my running journey. I can’t recommend him enough to anyone looking to elevate their performance. My only regret is not working with him sooner—don’t wait until you need injury rehab to add him to your team!
